Investigators say that at the time of the crime, he was serving as a medic in a motorised rifle company of the 70th Motorised Rifle Regiment, part of the 42nd Motorised Rifle Division of the 58th Combined Arms Army within the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces.
Magomedov is suspected of abducting a minor from a village street on March 24, 2024, along with an unidentified Russian soldier using the call sign “Khoma”.
The girl was distracted when asked for the time. While she was taking out her mobile phone to check, Khoma opened the rear door of the car, grabbed the girl’s arms, and forcibly pulled her into the seat, according to case files.
The girl was then forced to take an unidentified pill, which caused her to become intoxicated. Both men sexually assaulted her in the vehicle and later in a house where they subsequently took her.
Ukrainian courts have already handed down 19 verdicts against Russians who committed conflict-related sexual violence against civilians.
