Russian strikes killed three in Ukraine on April 15

As a result of Russian shelling on April 15, 2026, three civilians were killed in the Zaporizhzhia and Odesa regions, and nearly three dozen more people sustained injuries, specifically in the Donetsk, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Kharkiv Oblasts, the National Police reported.

The victims of the Russian strikes on April 15 were:

  • a 74-year-old female kiosk vendor, whose stall was hit by the Russians in Zaporizhzhia;
  • a man in the Zaporizhzhia District;
  • a person in Odesa who was killed in an evening strike by the Russians.

In addition to the dead, many people sustained injuries due to the Russian strikes.

There were ten victims in the Kherson Oblast on April 15, including two children from Nadiivka, where the Russians dropped explosives from a drone.

Six civilians each were injured in the Odesa and Donetsk regions, including a child from Sloviansk.

 

Four civilians each sustained injuries in the Kharkiv and Cherkasy Oblasts, and another two in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Also, four people, including two young children, were injured in Dnipro, which the Russians struck in the evening.

To provide background, on April 14, the Russian military killed seven adults and a child in Ukraine by shelling.

As a result of shelling by the Russian military on the night of April 16, 2026, in Kyiv and the Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Kharkiv, and Mykolaiv regions, the Russians killed at least 19 people and injured dozens.

Ukrainian experts point out that countries including ChinaNorth KoreaHungarySlovakiaIran, Serbia, and Brazil assist Moscow in killing Ukrainians in its war against Ukraine by funding the Russian budget through trade.

In other news, Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár has said his country is ready to block a new EU sanctions package against Russia. Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said he wanted to assume Orbán’s position in this matter, Slovak newspaper Denník N reported.
