Russian military strikes across Ukraine on April 14 killed seven adults and one child

As a result of Russian military shelling on April 14, 2026, eight civilians were killed in the Cherkasy, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions, and another 62 people sustained injuries, including in the Donetsk and Kharkiv Oblasts, according to the National Police of Ukraine.

The victims of the Russian strikes on April 14 were:

An eight-year-old boy, Bohdan Serheiev, was friendly, loved sports, and dreamed of peace, the public broadcaster Suspilne.Cherkasy reported, citing his homeroom teacher, Tamara Mahlovana. The boy died on the evening of April 14 on a playground during a drone attack on Cherkasy. As Ihor Fesun, director of emergency medical services, told Suspilne, they fought for the child’s life for over an hour, but failed to save him.

In addition to the dead, dozens of civilians sustained injuries, and at least 20 people were injured in Dnipro. The Russian military struck near a gas station in the city.

At least 14 more civilians, including a child, were injured due to the Russian strike in Cherkasy.

At least 12 people were injured due to Russian strikes in the Kherson Oblast, and the daily tally also included a woman who died in the hospital, where she had been since the Russian strike on April 6.

In the Kharkiv Oblast, April 14 passed with five victims: the Russians struck, in particular, Derhachi, Merefa, and Cherkaska Lozova.

In the Donetsk region, one victim of Russian strikes was recorded that day, specifically a person from Mykolaivka.

To provide background, on April 13, the Russian military killed seven civilians in Ukraine with shelling.

Ukrainian experts point out that countries including ChinaNorth KoreaHungarySlovakiaIran, Serbia, and Brazil assist Moscow in killing Ukrainians in its war against Ukraine by funding the Russian budget through trade.

Reuters reported that Central Asia and Afghanistan increased rail imports of fuel from Russia and Belarus by more than 50% in the first quarter as Moscow diverts energy flows from Europe and the Iran war curbs deliveries from the ​Middle East.

Moreover, Reuters reported that Russian energy giant Gazprom has delivered a second post-sanctions LNG cargo ship from the Baltic ​Sea’s Portovaya plant to China, according to LSEG data shown on April 15.
