Russians injured 30 civiliains, including 18 children in Sumy region on April 4
Dozens of people were injured as a result of Russian attacks, among them 18 children, in the Sumy region on April 4, 2026, according to the Head of the Sumy Oblast Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, and the National Police. Over 60 shellings of 35 settlements were recorded in 18 “hromadas,” a local government area that includes one or more nearby settlements, in the Oblast.

Local residents continued to seek medical help. Most of them were diagnosed with an acute stress reaction.
In the Popivska hromada, as a result of a missile strike, two women were wounded. In the Sveska hromada, due to a drone strike on a car, a 69-year-old man was injured. In the Hlukhivska hromada, after a drone attack on a car, a 25-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man were injured. In the Shostka hromada, a 48-year-old woman sought medical help, who was injured after the attack on April 3.

In the Shostka hromada, residential buildings, a high-rise building, and cars were damaged. In the Hlukhiv hromada, Russians damaged a passenger car. In the Esmanska hromada, a private house was destroyed.
In the Svesa hromada, outbuildings, residential buildings, cars, and infrastructure objects were damaged. In the Seredyno-Buda hromada, a house and infrastructure were destroyed; in the Berezivska hromada, a residential house and outbuildings.
In the Znob-Novhorod, Khutir-Mykhailiv, and Chernechchynska hromadas, infrastructure objects were damaged. In the Konotop hromada, administrative buildings, multi-apartment buildings, cars, and infrastructure were damaged. In the Sumy hromada, damage to multi-apartment buildings, non-residential buildings, cars, and infrastructure was recorded.
In addition, in the Velykopysarivska hromada, a passenger car was damaged; in the Popivska hromada, a non-residential building, residential houses, and infrastructure objects.
Previously, ZMINA reported that as a result of shelling by the Russian military on April 2, 2026, in the Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Donetsk regions, seven civilians were killed, and at least 62 more sustained injuries, particularly in the Zaporizhzhia and Sumy Oblasts.
