‘It is another plan of FSB’, Mejlis Chairman Chubarov comments on detentions in Crimea
Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov has commented on the information about the latest arrest of so-called “Ukrainian saboteurs” in Crimea on the air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.
“I carefully examined the message from all sides, including the Federal Security Service [FSB] of Russia. I used to work with NGO Nomos, which conducted interesting studies about the Black Sea Region security issues. This is another plan of the FSB. I think that another information attack on our country is soon to be launched by Russia as they have conceived and carried out this provocation. Now they will tell the world that the Ukrainian Government sends terrorists to Crimea. It is intimidation of our people living in Crimea,” Chubarov said.
As reported, the Russia’s Federal Security Service stated about the alleged detention on November 9 in Sevastopol of so-called “terrorist group of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukraine’s Defence Ministry” who allegedly planned to “commit acts of sabotage at the military infrastructure facilities of Crimea.”
According to the media reports, the experts of the Nomos think tank Oleksiy Bessarabov, Dmytro Shtyblikov, Vladymyr Dudko were detained.
This is the second attempt of Russia to accuse Ukraine of plotting the acts of sabotage.
As reported, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced in August that Yevhen Panov and Andriy Zakhtey were accused of alleged plotting terrorist acts in the occupied Crimea.
