Attackers on dark-skinned fans at Dynamo-Chelsea match identified
The Football Federation of Ukraine proposes to strengthen security measures at stadiums.
According to the “Football Club” media outlet, vice-president of the Football Federation of Ukraine Ihor Kochetov said this, commenting on the investigation into the incident during the Dynamo-Chelsea match, when several dark-skinned fans were beaten.
There are positive aspects in course of the investigation, he said.
“The group of seven people has been identified by means of photo identification, the criminal proceedings have been initiated,” vice-president of the Ukrainian Football Federation said.
He noted that the ultras movement had again became politicized in recent years.
According to him, 3-4 instigators are always easily found among 3,000-4,000 fans. Kochetov also added that the conflict in the stands had begun without participation of the dark-skinned fans. In addition, when the fight broke out, other Dynamo fans started to defend them.
To solve this problem, the perpetrators should realize the inevitability of punishment, the prosecution of those responsible will have a preventive effect. It is also necessary to strengthen security measures at stadiums, to strengthen the stadium management, security service, not to let bring banners and prohibited items to the stadium.
The Federation asks the police to send more female police officers for inspection as many fireworks are brought to the stadiums by girls. However, the law enforcement officers do not always listen to this request.
A few days ago, according to Kochetov, the working group to be responsible for safety and order at the Ukrainian stadiums was set up.
