Only one “titushka” was sentenced for crimes against Euromaidan
Only one person was sentenced to real imprisonment for crimes during Euromaidan in Ukraine.
As reported by UNIAN Information Agency, this was stated by Serhiy Horbatiuk, the Head of the Department of Special Investigations of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine, during the 1+1 TV channel broadcast.
“Only one of the “titushkas” was sentenced to an actual sentence out of 35 convictions”, – said Horbatiuk.
According to him, 351 people are under investigation out of which 48 are high-ranking officials.
Horbatiuk also explained that more than 220 indictments were transferred to the court.
As earlier reported, General Prosecutor’s Office suspects the former Deputy Head, who is suspected of violent dispersal of Euromaidan activists, of the presidential Administration of Viktor Yanukovych.
Pre-trial investigation established that former Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration on Humanitarian Affairs was involved in the organization of violent dispersal of protestors in Kyiv on February 18-19, 2014.
