The Justice Ministry of Ukraine has once again sent Russia the request for the transfer of convicted Ukrainian citizens Oleg Sentsov and Oleksandr Kolchenko.

This was stated by Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko, Radio Liberty reports.

According to him, the Ukrainian side expects a response from Russia in the near future.

The Justice Ministry sent its first request to Russia on March 10. Then Ukraine asked to transfer convicted citizens Oleg Sentsov, Yuri Soloshenko, Oleksandr Kolchenko and Gennady Afanasyev to their homeland. The next day, the Russian Justice Ministry stated it had received the request and promised to consider it within 30 days.

Oleg Sentsov and Oleksandr Kolchenko are the key figures in the “case of Crimean terrorists.” August 25 last year, they were sentenced to 20 and 10 years respectively for “terrorism.”
