Victims of Russian strikes on March 15 were:

  • A 73-year-old woman in Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi;
  • A 58-year-old woman from Kozacha Lopan, whose house was hit by an enemy drone;
  • An 87-year-old woman from Troitska “hromada,” a local government area that includes one or more nearby settlements.

Apart from them, dozens of civilians received injuries, specifically in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, with about four victims. Among them is a woman who was in the center of the explosion in a shop in Nikopol, which was hit by Russians, and also an elderly woman from the Marhanets hromada, which was hit by reactive systems of collective fire.

In the Zaporizhzhia Oblast in Rozumivka, three people were injured by the Russian strike. There, the Russians used a drone that gave them the opportunity to see the target before the strike.

In the Kharkiv Oblast, Russian strikes injured five people over the past 24 hours. Among them was a driver whose car was targeted by a drone in the village of Prosyanka.

In the Kherson region, a pensioner in the regional center was injured on March 15 after a drone struck his vehicle. The region’s daily report also included three women who had been injured in previous Russian shelling.

Another person was wounded in Russian strikes in the Donetsk Oblast. Specifically, an individual in Kostiantynivka was targeted by a Russian drone.

 The death toll from the Russian strike on the Kyiv Oblast on March 14 has increased to six. In total, over more than four years of full-scale war, Russian shelling has killed over 15,000 civilians.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recounted on X that in 2022, when Iran sold Russia its first batch of Shahed attack drones, Ukraine contacted Iran and asked it not to supply weapons to Russia. Iran stated that there would be no further deliveries.

“In the meantime, the Iranian regime supplied Russia with the first batch of ‘Shaheds’ – 1,000 drones. We got in touch with the Iranians through the intelligence services. We asked them not to supply weapons to Russia, because if the supplied ‘Shaheds’ had killed our civilians, the Iranian regime would become Russia’s ally, we told them. They responded, ‘No, no, we are not allies in this. We sold the Russians this one batch of ‘Shaheds.’ It will be 1,200 or 1,300 drones, and that’s it. No more supplies.’ But they lied,” the President recounted.

He pointed out that Iran not only provided Russia with “thousands” of Shahed drones but also handed over licenses for their production.

“They helped Russia to build two factories which produce these drones, and initially they operated the drones and trained the Russians,” the President said.

In an address to the UK Parliament on 17 March, Zelenskyy said that 201 Ukrainian military experts have already been deployed to countries in the Middle East to help counter drone attacks. Ukrainian teams are already in the Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, and on the way to Kuwait. Ukraine is working with several other countries – agreements are already in place, the President added.
