Two more Crimean Tatars can be forcefully sent to psychiatric expertise
On November 24, two more Crimean Tatars can be sent for a compulsory psychiatric expertise.
Crimean advocate Emil Kurbedinov wrote on his Facebook account.
“In the night we received information that two more Crimean Tatars will have a compulsory psychiatric expertise. These are two guys from Krasnokamyanka – Refat Alimov and Arsen Dzhepparov in the “Hizb ut-Tahrir” case. One of them had a surgery not long ago and was left without after surgery rehabilitation,” lawyer informed.
According to Kurbedinov, “four from native Crimean Tatars had forceful psychiatric expertise which started in XXI century in the newest history of Russia in relation to the Crimean Tatars.”
At the beginning of November, Crimean advocate Edem Semedliaev wrote that accused in the “Hizb ut-Tahrir” case had psychiatric expertise.
The defendants in the “Yalta case of ‘Hizb ut-Tahrir’” are in detention for more than six months. The first four accused were arrested on February 11, 2016. The most famous of them is a member of the Human Rights Contact Group Emir Usein-Kuku. Muslim Aliev, Enver Bekirov, and Vadym Siruk were arrested together with him.
The human rights defenders believe they are the political prisoners.
The international Islamic political organization “Hizb ut-Tahrir” says its mission is to unite all the Muslims in the Islamic caliphate. It refuses using terrorist methods and believes that Russia illegally pursues its activities. The Supreme Court of Russia banned “Hizb ut-Tahrir” in 2003, describing 15 organizations as “terroristic”.
