Putin has no intention of ending the war
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy established the fact during his evening address on 5 June that Russians once again chose war and that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin has no intention of ending it.

“Sadly, Russia is choosing war again – everyone heard today’s response. It was a weak response. He just does not want to end the war. I think many people around the world were disappointed by that response. He does not want to change anything. He does not want to admit that the only people who like his war are he and the people who are making money from him – they were all smiling broadly today. That means there must be less money for Russia and more pressure on Russia,” the president stated.
Zelenskyy also noted he had spoken with his diplomatic team. Ukraine is currently preparing for a series of meetings with its European and U.S. partners.
Accused of a war crime by the ICC, Vladimir Putin said at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) that he read the open letter from the Ukrainian President and “sees no point in holding a meeting”.
The Kremlin leader also claimed that Zelenskyy had sought a meeting through a Russian businessman. However, he stressed that he was not refusing to meet, but opposes “empty conversations”.
Putin concluded by addressing Russian military personnel: “Keep working, brothers.”
Ukrainian experts point out that countries, including China, the United States of America, North Korea, Hungary, Slovakia, Iran, and Brazil, assist Moscow in killing Ukrainians in its war against Ukraine by funding the Russian budget through trade.
