Ukraine’s MP changes her attitude towards gays
MP Kateryna Lukyanova says her attitude has been changed after she met the LGBT family.
The MP wrote this in the comment under the Facebook post of co-chair of the Coalition for Combating Discrimination Svyatoslav Sheremet, in which he cited an abstract of her conversation with a journalist about the number of gays in the Parliament.
She notes that no person can be convinced in this matter unless he or she wants to change the view.
“This year, I have seen the family of gays with a small child with my own eyes. Two fathers and a little girl. I could not look at nothing else but the eyes of these two men and the child. They’re happy. I cannot say that I am for. But I am definitely not against,” she wrote.
As a reminder, holding of gay pride parade in Kyiv this year has been supported by MP Serhiy Leshchenko, writer and TV presenter Larysa Denysenko, writer Irena Karpa, radio presenter Iryna Slavynska and others.
