Civilian injured in shelling of Stanytsia Luhanska village in ATO area

One civilian and two Ukrainian soldiers were injured as a result of shelling of Stanytsia Luhanska village in Luhansk region by militants.

Deputy Chairman of the Luhansk Regional Military and Civil Administration Yuri Klymenko said this to journalists, the press service of the Administration reports.

According to him, August 24, the militants used 82mm mortars, infantry combat vehicles, various types of grenade launchers and small arms to launch two massive attacks on Stanytsia Luhanska village in Luhansk region.

As a result of shelling, a local resident and two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded. The power line was broken, the low pressure pipeline was damaged at three sites, the average pressure pipeline was damaged at one site. The gas supply was not stopped as the pipeline was patched. Several residential buildings were left without window panes,” he said.

In addition, the militants used 82mm mortars, grenades of different types, and heavy machine guns to shell Popasna town. Zolote town came under grenade launcher and small arm fire.

In the evening, the militants used 120mm mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns to fire at the Ukrainian military positions near the village of Krymske.
