Russian strikes across Ukraine killed three civilians on April 20
On April 20, 2026, Russian shelling claimed the lives of three civilians in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. Additionally, more than 60 people sustained injuries, with casualties reported in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Chernihiv Oblasts, according to the National Police of Ukraine.

In addition to the fatalities, dozens of civilians were wounded nationwide. The Sumy Oblast recorded at least 22 casualties, including three children from the regional capital.
In the Kharkiv Oblast, 12 people sustained injuries, among them a teenager and eight adults from the city of Kharkiv itself.
Authorities in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast reported ten injuries on April 20. Eight victims were in the regional capital, three of whom are children. Furthermore, at least five people, including two teenagers, were wounded in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, while three more civilians were injured in the Donetsk Oblast.

The region’s daily casualty report also included four individuals injured in earlier Russian strikes.
Single injuries were also reported in both the Chernihiv and Kyiv Oblasts following Russian attacks.
