Russian guided bombs strike civilian infrastructure in Sumy, killing four and injuring seven
Russian forces struck civilian infrastructure in the Zarichnyi District of Sumy city with three guided aerial bombs on the afternoon of July 11, 2026. The attack killed four people and injured seven others, Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Oblast Military Administration, stated.

The rescue operation is ongoing, and information regarding the aftermath of the strike is being clarified.
Authorities are urging local residents to remain in safe locations and to avoid approaching the impact sites due to the threat of follow-up attacks.
A Russian drone also struck a civilian enterprise in the Nemyshlianskyi District of Kharkiv, injuring seven people.
In addition, the Russian attack on Kyiv overnight on July 11 left 10 people injured, including one child.
Russian forces attacked the Poltava District in the morning, where a strike drone hit a local company’s warehouse. As of now, emergency services have not received any reports of injuries, Vitalii Diakivnych, head of the Poltava Oblast Military Administration, reported. Units of the SES of Ukraine arrived promptly at the scene and have fully extinguished the blaze.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that over the course of the night, Russians launched more than 120 drones and 12 missiles, half of them ballistic. Our defenders managed to shoot down most of the targets – but not the ballistic ones.
“We expect our partners to deliver on their promises regarding support packages agreed at the NATO Summit to help protect our people. We must move as swiftly as possible on licensing agreements for Patriots and the joint European anti-ballistic defence project,” the President stated.
