“An 89-year-old man was killed by the Russians in the Mezhivska hromada in the Synelnykove District. Four other people were injured. Two people were injured as a result of a drone strike on the Marhanets hromada in the Nikopol District. Two women, aged 61 and 52, were hospitalized. Doctors said one of them is in serious condition,” Hanzha stated.

He also reported that a 37-year-old man was injured in the Synelnykove District. The strikes also damaged infrastructure, residential buildings, and a disused building.

Speaking to journalists at the end of his visit to France, as reported by news agency Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is ready for the next round of talks with the U.S. and Russia, but the location and timing of talks remain unresolved due to disagreements between the United States and Russia.

Zelenskyy explained the talks had been postponed at Washington’s request due to the conflict with Iran.

“There’s a whole ‘Santa Barbara’ going on with these talks because of the war in the Middle East. The Americans have said they’re willing to meet, but only in the US, because the war and the security situation do not allow them to leave US territory now,” the President said.

Kyiv has told Washington its delegation is ready to fly to Miami or Washington, but Russia has refused to travel to the U.S. and proposed holding the meeting in either Türkiye or Switzerland. The Americans rejected both options.

“We said immediately that we are ready to meet next week. We are prepared to meet in the US, Switzerland, Türkiye, even, if they are not afraid, in the Emirates,” Zelenskyy said, adding that whether the talks take place is now Washington’s call.
