MFA demands from Russia to allow Chiygoz to meet his ill mother

The Ministry of  Foreign Affairs of Ukraine demands from the Crimean occupation authorities to allow arrested Akhtem Chiygoz, Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, to meet his ill mother. The woman is at death.

As reported by Mariana Betsa, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, on her Twitter page.

“We demand from the occupation authorities of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to allow for political prisoner A. Chiygoz to see his mother, who is at death”, – she wrote.

The diplomat reminded that Akhtem Chiygoz is kept prison for political reasons for more than two years.

“He has the right to see his ill mother”, – the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

As a reminder, Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis is accused of participating in the “riots” at the building of the Crimean parliament in Simferopol in February 2014.
