Russians kill at least nine in Kyiv in ballistic missile strikes overnight (updating)
Russian forces launched a combined strike on Kyiv and the Kyiv region overnight on 1 August 2026. At least nine people have been killed in Russian ballistic missile strikes on Kyiv, local officials stated. A further 28 people were injured in the attack on the Ukrainian capital overnight, according to the country's State Emergency Service
