Russian shelling killed three civilians and injured nearly 20 others — including six children — across the Kherson and Donetsk regions on January 25, 2026. Additional injuries were reported in the Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy regions, according to the National Police of Ukraine.

The victims of the Russian shelling on January 25 included:

  • An unidentified man in Kherson, killed when Russian forces dropped explosives from a drone;
  • Two women, aged 63 and 78, from Druzhkivka and Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka, were killed in strikes involving guided aerial bombs and multiple-launch rocket systems.

In the Donetsk region, four others were injured in the attacks, including the 69-year-old husband of the deceased woman from Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka and three residents of Druzhkivka.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, victims of the Russian strikes include a 37-year-old resident of the regional capital and a 68-year-old man from Vilniansk. Both sustained injuries as a result of Russian drone attacks.

In the Kharkiv region, a 78-year-old local woman was injured during Russian shelling of the city of Kharkiv. She was hospitalized with wounds, though further details regarding her condition were not provided in the report.

In the Sumy and Mykolaiv Oblasts, Russian drone strikes wounded 11 civilians, including five adults and six children ages 3, 7, 8, 10, 11, and 17. The adult victims include a 60-year-old woman from the Esman hromada who is the grandmother of two of the injured children, an energy worker, and two men from the border areas.

According to police photos, the damage from the Russian strikes in the Sumy region includes an educational institution.
