Over 1.7 million IDPs registered in Ukraine
The Social Policy Ministry of Ukraine has registered more than 1.7 million internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Donbas and Crimea.
This is reported by the Ministry’s press service.
“According to the data from the social protection departments of the regional and Kyiv city state administrations, 1 780 245 internally displaced persons or 1 448 265 families from Donbas and Crimea were registered as of April 25, 2016” the statement reads.
“806,444 families applied for benefits. 755,237 of them were assigned such assistance,” the press service added.
As noted, the IDPs have received UAH 1 164 797 in assistance since the beginning of the year.
