Charges against five ex-Berkut officers submitted to court

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine submitted to court indictments in the proceedings against five ex-officers of the Berkut special riot police force.
This is reported by BBC Ukraine.
They are suspected of abuse of power, namely the detention of 18 Automaidan activists in Kyiv on the night of January 23, 2014.
The detention was accompanied by violence against activists and damaging 11 vehicles, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reports.
The indictment against the company commander, where the officers served, was submitted to court in March.
