One more media outlet on list of blocked sites in Crimea
August 2, ‘Meridian Sevastopol’ independent online newspaper website was blocked on the territory of the Russian-annexed Crimea.
The editorial staff of the Internet resource reported about this to LB.ua.
August 2, the users on the territory of Crimea could not access the site; they saw only white screen and nothing else. On August 4 there was a message from the provider that the access to the site is limited.
This site is not listed in the unified register of domain names of sites containing the information prohibited for public spread in the Russian Federation. It is also not listed in domain name registry containing information disseminated in violation of the exclusive rights.
There were no formal complaints against the administration of the site or the hosting company.
“Meridian Sevastopol” is an independent online newspaper and one of the oldest in the city as the site had been established in 2005.
