No breakthrough in case over murder of Pavel Sheremet – Head of Ukraine’s National Police
Hundreds of witnesses have been questioned within the investigation into the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet, but there are no specific results yet.
This was announced by Head of the National Police of Ukraine Khatia Dekanoidze.
“You cannot imagine what a great deal of work the investigators have done. They have questioned several hundred people, reviewed a huge number of videos, but there is no breakthrough yet,” Dekanoidze quoted as saying by Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
The representative of the Interior Ministry promised to tell about the results of the investigation as soon as they appear.
Journalist Pavel Sheremet was killed in a car explosion in Kyiv in the early morning of July 20. Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuri Lutsenko said that the basic version of Sheremet’s murder was his professional activities.
