14 prisoners were transferred from “DPR” to the territory of Ukraine
On April 11, 14 prisoners, who were serving their sentences in places of detention under the control of the illegal armed formation of Donetsk region, were transferred from the territories that are not under control of Ukraine.
As reported by press service of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.
It is reported that the prisoners wanted to serve their sentence on the Ukraine-controlled territory.
Over the past two years, 147 prisoners were transferred on the Ukrainian Ombudsman’s initiative.
As a reminder, on 17 March 2017, 12 people were moved from penitentiary institutions of Crimea to mainland Ukraine thanks to the efforts of the Ukrainian and the Russian Ombudsmen.
