The court of occupied Simferopol extended the term of arrest for Sevastopol residents Volodymyr Dudka, Dmytro Shtyblikov and Oleksiy Bessarabov until September 8. They are accused by the Russian authorities of preparing “sabotage acts” in the territory of Crimea.

As reported by the Crimean Human Rights Group.

According to the CHRG, a new resolution on the extension of the preventive punishment in the form of detention was issued on July 4 by “judge” Oleksiy Tykhopoy.

Ukrainians, who were detained in November of last year, have already spent 8 months behind bars.

As a reminder, in the period from August to November 2016, 9 citizens of Ukraine were detained in Crimea. FSB calls them “members of the sabotage and terrorist group of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine”. Among the detainees: Yevgen Panov, Andriy Zakhtiy, Redvan Suleymanov, Volodymyr Prisich, Dmytro Shtyblikov, Oleksiy Bessarabov, Volodymyr Dudka, Glib Shabliy, Oleksiy Stogniy.

Crimean Human Rights Group has repeatedly stated that citizens of Ukraine, who were detained in Crimea in the period from August to November 2016 in the case of so-called “Ukrainian saboteurs”, are imprisoned for political reasons in violation of the fundamental rights and freedom, in other words are political prisoners.
