People were screaming, yelling, lying on the floor. This lasted ten minutes, ten terrifying minutes, when all were lying on the floor, covering heads … We heard so many shots! And the terrorists were very calm, very focused, they reloaded the guns three or four times and did not shout. They did not say anything,” Julien Pierre said.

The Paris authorities have urged people not to go out. About 1,500 soldiers have been deployed in the city.
