New procedure for crossing demarcation line in Donbas being prepared

The changes in the procedure for crossing the demarcation line in eastern Ukraine are being developed now.

This was stated by Heorhiy Tuka, the Deputy Minister of Ukraine for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons, Ostriv media outlet reports.

We are planning (and we have already discussed this issue with the President, and he supports our initiative) to restore passenger traffic [from the uncontrolled territories],” he said.

He also added that changes in the procedure for crossing the demarcation line were being prepared.

April 20, The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine set up the Ministry of Ukraine for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons.

The main tasks of the Ministry are, in particular, reintegration of the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and its population into a single constitutional space of Ukraine; promotion of the rights and freedoms of the internally displaced persons; development of peace; reconstruction and development of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, etc.
