It is planned that Roman Sushchenko, an “Ukrinform” correspondent in France, who was detained in Moscow under allegations of espionage, will receive an incrimination on Friday.

“Sushchenko was happy when we finally met. He is cheerful and plans to fight, to defend his good name. He does not recognize guilt”, – Feygin is quoted by the press agency UNIAN.

A day before, he met with Sushchenko for 15 minutes, a Russian lawyer wrote on his Twitter. This was the first meeting between them.

“I managed to read a resolution of incrimination. Even with respect to state secrets…”, – wrote the lawyer.

Roman Sushchenko was arrested in Moscow on September 30 when he arrived in Russia in private affairs. He was accused of espionage.

Defense Intelligence of Ukraine declared that the accusations of FSB do not correspond with reality. An official Kyiv calls this a new politically motivated case.

“Ukrinform” believes that detention and accusation of Roman Sushchenko is a next illegal act towards Ukrainian citizens from the Russian Federation.

An agency stresses that the journalist was detained with violation of international rules on the day of his arrival in Moscow. The Russian side did not inform anyone about his detention.

Human Rights Information Center and Center for Civil Liberties consider his arrest as a part of the war Russia wages against Ukraine.

Human rights defenders reported that none of Ukrainians can be safe in Russia or occupied Crimea.

According to the the Ukrainian human rights activists, there are still 29 Ukrainians in Russian prisons after the liberation of Nadiya Savchenko, Gennadiy Afanasiev and Yuriy Soloshenko. 15 of them are Crimean tatars.
