Ukrainian pilot, MP Nadiya Savchenko, who was sentenced to 22 years in prison by the Russian court, is going to resume dry hunger strike on April 6.

One of her lawyers, Nikolai Polozov, posted this on Facebook.

According to him, the verdict, translated into the Ukrainian language, was handed over to her on March 25. Since Savchenko refuses to lodge an appeal, the sentence will come into force on April 5. She intends to resume the dry hunger strike the next day.

As reported, March 22, the Donetsk City Court of Rostov region of the Russian Federation found her guilty of the murder of two Russian journalists in Luhansk region. She was sentenced to 22 years in a colony.
