Russians killed Hillmont Partners lawyer Serhii Stretovych during his his military duty in Donetsk region

Serhii Stretovych, a lawyer at the Hillmont Partners law firm, was killed while performing his military duty in the Donetsk Region (Oblast), the Hillmont Partners law firm and the Ukrainian Bar Association reported. He was killed in Druzhkivka in the Kramatorsk District, Donetsk Oblast.

Serhii Stretovych worked as a lawyer in the criminal law practice of Hillmont Partners. He is remembered by his colleagues as a principled and skilled lawyer, as well as a humane, witty and sincere person.

“Professional and principled in his work with clients and colleagues, in everyday life he was humane, witty and always smiling […]. It is incredibly unfair that the war took Serhii, as well as countless dedicated men who are defending our land. Serhii will forever remain in our memory as a specialist who helped develop Hillmont Partners, and as a person with whom it was an honour to work side by side,” Hillmont Partners stated.

The Ukrainian Bar Association expressed its condolences to the family, loved ones, friends and colleagues of the deceased.

On 26 September 2026, Stretovych was buried in the village of Meleni in the Zhytomyr Oblast, where he was originally from.
