Russians killed civilian man in attack on Zaporizhzhia Oblast

A Russian aerial bomb has destroyed a house in the village of Omelnyk, the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, leaving two people trapped under the rubble on March 3, 2025.

 

“A woman and a man were trapped under the rubble of a house following an enemy strike on the Polohy district. A Russian aerial bomb destroyed a house in the village of Omelnyk. A woman and a man were trapped under the rubble. Rescuers have already freed the woman. The search operation is ongoing,” Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration, reported. 

Later, Fedorov reported that rescuers recovered the body of a 49-year-old man from the rubble, adding that they had completed the rescue operation.

By way of background, the US President Donald Trump has ordered the suspension of all military aid to Ukraine, increasing pressure on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following a spat at the White House.

DeepState project reported that Russians advanced near Burlatske and Lebedevka. DeepState analysts also added that as of the morning of 4 March, fighting was continuing south of Kamyshivka in the Kurs’k Oblast
