Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, in his post on X, said a Russian strike on a plant in Dnipro owned by the U.S. company Bunge was not accidental, stressing that Russia is systematically attacking American business and interests in Ukraine.

Sybiha stated that the deliberate Russian strike severely damaged a civilian sunflower oil production plant in Dnipro owned by the prominent American company Bunge.

“This attack was not a mistake—it was deliberate, as the Russians attempted to strike this facility multiple times. Russia has been targeting American businesses in Ukraine systemically,” he wrote.

The foreign minister recalled that last year, Russian strikes damaged Boeing offices in Kyiv, a major American electronics manufacturer in Zakarpattia, and other sites.

“Throughout the full-scale war, approximately half of US Chamber members in Ukraine saw damage or destruction to their facilities on various scales,” Sybiha noted.

The Ukrainian minister stressed that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin’s attacks on American business and U.S. interests in Ukraine demonstrate a total disregard for peace efforts led by U.S. President Donald Trump.

“Moscow’s refusal to reciprocate Ukraine’s constructive steps toward peace must come at a cost, and the Kremlin must feel that this cost is serious,” he added.
