Russian doctors state that the health of Nadiya Savchenko currently allows convoying her.

This was announced by chairman of the Public Oversight Committee for Rostov Region, member of the expert council and head of the working group on the public oversight committee at the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Russian Federation Leonid Petrashis, TASS news agency reports.

He added that Savchenko stayed under constant supervision of doctors who visited her twice a day.

She has had recently no complaints about her health condition. According to the leadership of the Russian Federal Service for the Execution of Sentences, so far there are no obstacles related to health to convoying former Ukrainian serviceperson after the sentence comes into force,” Petrashis said.

As reported, March 22, the Donetsk City Court of Rostov region of the Russian Federation found Savchenko guilty of the murder of two Russian journalists in Luhansk region. She was sentenced to 22 years in a colony. She refuses to lodge an appeal and intends to resume a dry hunger strike on April 6. Savchenko has been on hunger strike since last December.
