MP of Ukraine and PACE delegate Nadiya Savchenko is going to refuse not only food, but even tea and water after the sentence upon her is passed.

She has repeatedly stated that the prosecution is deliberately delaying the trial and passing of sentence.

“My health condition was examined after a month of hunger strike last Friday and this Tuesday. The doctors said that ‘the organism is exhausted, but she can live, can sit in jail’,” Hromadske radio quotes Savchenko as saying.

She also said that she had kidney stones.

Kidney stones are getting bigger, everything is fine. I was drinking water for the past month, I moved to tea with sugar and was put on a drip. There is such a thing as the preparation of the gastrointestinal tract for food intake. I declare that I will hold out till the end of trial on these mixtures. I’m not going to start to eat,” the MP said.

Nadiya Savchenko has been on hunger strike for 35 days already. She demands a fair trial and return to Ukraine.

As reported, Savchenko is being held in Russia on charges of involvement in the murder of two Russian journalists in Luhansk region and illegal border crossing. The lawyers and Savchenko herself deny accusations and say that she had been abducted and taken to Russia illegally.

Lawyer Mark Feygin had earlier published the video proving that Savchenko had been already in captivity and could not adjust fire at the time of death of journalists.
