Ukrainian Parliament Speaker: 68 children killed since onset of ATO in Donbas
68 children have been killed and another 186 have been wounded since onset of the military operations in Donbas.
Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy said this, opening the morning sitting of the Parliament, RBK-Ukraine reports.
“According to my information, 68 children have been killed and another 186 have been wounded during the military aggression in Donetsk and Luhansk regions,” Parubiy said.
MP from the Opposition Bloc faction Yuri Pavlenko said that according to the data of his political force, the number of dead and wounded children is greater than that voiced by the Speaker.
“The number of children, killed by bullets and shrapnel, voiced by the Verkhovna Rada Speaker, is not complete. According to our information, it is a more tragic figure: two years of military operations have killed 199 Ukrainian children and wounded about 500,” the parliamentarian said.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that 21 underage servicemen have been killed since the onset of ATO.
