The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine recorded the cases of extrajudicial executions of civilians by members of the “DPR” and “LPR” illegal armed formations.

The eleventh report of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, covering the period from 16 May to 15 August 2015, contains data about two incidents of summary execution of civilians by the terrorists. The report says that the incidents were reportedly committed by members of the so-called separate special brigade Odessa in the village of Peremozhne in Luhansk region.

It is reported that on 10 August 2014, eight armed men in camouflage without any signs of distinction stormed the house of local volunteers who were providing food to Ukrainian soldiers. After searching and looting the house, the armed men took away a man and a woman.

Over the following ten days, the armed men returned three times to the house and looted it, holding the 75-year-old father of one of the abducted volunteers at gun point.

In January, they were found shot dead near village of Piatyhorivka.

It is also reported that in the same village, on 22 August 2014, four members of a family were executed outside their house for their alleged assistance to the Ukrainian armed forces.

The report states that from May 16 to August 15, there was an increase in civilian casualties by more than a half compared with the previous three month reporting period.

During this time, at least 105 people were killed and 308 were injured (compared to 60 killed and 102 injured within February 16- May 15). Thus, since mid-April 2014, at least 7,883 people have been killed in the east of Ukraine.
