Head of the Crimean occupation government Sergey Aksyonov demands to cut off Ukrainian media – radio and TV channels – that can be watched and listened to in the north of the peninsula.

He announced this on Thursday evening at the meeting of the interagency headquarters for emergency recovery, the Ukrayinska Pravda (Ukrainian Truth) online newspaper reports, citing Interfax news agency.

Clean up Ukrainian media! So that I would not even hear that someone watches these odd TV shows,” Sergey Aksyonov said.

So-called “Crimean Vice-Prime Minister” Dmitry Polonsky noted that cases of broadcasting of Ukrainian radio stations on medium and long waves had been indeed registered in Crimea.

People tune radios, they can catch even Arabs,” Polonsky said, arguing that the problem is not widespread.

Well, check this information as the cases have been reported,” so-called “Crimean speaker” Vladimir Konstantinov insisted.

As reported, the editorial offices of the ATR Crimean Tatar channel and 15 minutes newspaper were searched and their computers were seized.
