OSCE SMM wants to install cameras in front-line villages
The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine plans to install surveillance cameras in the front-line villages in Donbas.
First, the cameras will be installed in Zhovanka village, Donetsk region, said Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE SMM to Ukraine Alexander Hug, UNIAN news agency reports.
“Our monitors will try to increase their presence in this area and to monitor the situation round the clock. For this, we are now looking for a suitable location to install the cameras in this village. A camera will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,” Hug said.
The same surveillance cameras will be installed on both sides of the contact line in Avdiyivka and the village of Zhovtneve in the north of Donetsk. These cameras are to be installed over the next seven days.
Hug assures it will help to hold liable those who violate the Minsk Agreements.
