Militarisation of children and youth continues: 26 new junior military units formed in occupied Donetsk region
The occupiers have created 26 new units of the all-Russian Yunarmiya movement in the occupied Donetsk region: in Mariupol, Volnovakha and adjacent settlements.
This was reported by ZMINA.
According to the head of the movement’s local headquarters, Viktor Pudak, the Mariupol branch of the Yunarmiya unites 13 units from Urzuf, Melekine and Yalta, with a total of about 300 people. In Volnovakha, 13 units of about 300 people have also been formed.
The representative of the occupation administration added that the “junior soldiers” from these cities actively participate in the activities of the militarised formation, taking first and prize places in military sports games organised by the Russians.
Earlier, ZMINA reported that the Russians in the occupied territories of Ukraine have enrolled more than 35,000 children in the Yunarmiya military centre, and this number is constantly increasing.
