Two judges in Maidan cases were already under investigation when prosecuting activists – lawyer
Andriy Makukha and Alla Demydovska, the judges of the Solomyansky District Court in Kyiv, who put Maidan activists under arrest, had been already under investigation for bribes, taken in 2013.
Roman Maselko, the lawyer of the families of the Heavenly Hundred, posted this on Facebook.
According to him, that fact did not prevent and might even help the judges to deliver unlawful judgments.
He informed that the Pechersk District Court in Kyiv had had to consider the criminal case on bribes taken by the mentioned judges yesterday, July 26. However, the hearing was postponed as the defense team had not come.
The lawyer added that at the end of last year the High Council of Justice of Ukraine had made the decision that those judges had broken the oath, but the Verkhovna Rada had not dismissed them yet and they were still paid salaries at the expense of Ukrainian citizens.
