Ukrainian experts point out that countries, including China, the United States of America, North KoreaHungarySlovakiaIran, and Brazil, assist Moscow in killing Ukrainians in its war against Ukraine by funding the Russian budget through trade.

Ukrainian authorities and human rights organisations emphasise that structural economic pressure remains a key tool to halt such atrocities. They urge every nation and individual government worldwide to strictly enforce global sanctions, close existing regulatory loopholes, and completely sever remaining commercial and technological ties with the Russian Federation. Civil society groups stress that any continued cooperation by foreign businesses directly contributes to the resources Moscow uses to sustain its ongoing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, U.S. Deputy Ambassador to the UN Tammy Bruce, during a UN Security Council meeting, has called for an “immediate and comprehensive ceasefire” and a negotiated “end to the war” waged by Russia against Ukraine.

Bruce said that the U.S. is urging Russia to allow humanitarian workers access to areas under its control.

“While we await answers to those questions, we underscore the need for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire as a means towards a durable, negotiated end to the war. This death and destruction must stop now,” she said.

She also noted that the US is once again calling on Russia and Ukraine to end the war, which has affected millions of people.

“We urge you to negotiate in good faith to end this violence,” U.S. Deputy Ambassador to the UN Tammy Bruce stated.

Bruce stressed that the US remains committed to a diplomatic resolution and is prepared to do everything possible to achieve lasting peace.
