In Crimea FSB detained Ukrainian activist of the Ukrainian Cultural Centre

This morning in Simferopol, FSB arrested and taken for questioning Andriy Vinogradov, an activist of Ukrainian Cultural Centre.

As it was reported to the correspondent of Human Rights Information Centre, this was the only thing he could tell his friends before they lost contact with him.

Leonid Kuzmin, the founder of the Ukrainian Cultural Centre in Simferopol, confirmed the information about the arrest.

As a reminder, In October of 2016, a criminal case was opened against the Crimean Tatar activist Suleiman Kadyrov for his statements on the social networks. After the search, which was conducted on October 5 and conducted with violations, Kadyrov was accused of separatism.

Ukrainian Cultural Centre was created in the Crimea after the Russian annexation of the peninsula. It is a non-governmental organization, aiming to preserve the language and culture of the Ukrainian people. The center does not pursue any political goals.
