Ukrainian government registers new Labour Code to enhance protection against discrimination
A draft of the new Labour Code, which enshrines a direct ban on discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation and gender identity, has been registered in Ukraine’s parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, the National LGBTI Consortium reported while outlining the important changes envisaged in the document. The reform is linked to bringing Ukrainian legislation closer to EU law.
