Nursery opened in Ukrainian Parliament
The nursery, where MPs and staff will be able to leave their children for some time, was opened in the Parliament of Ukraine.
MP Svitlana Zalishchuk posted this information on her Facebook page.
“The nursery was opened in the Parliament. A nanny will work from 9:00 to 18:00 to look after children of the MPs and the staff. The first mothers came to ask whether these walls would withstand the future Ukrainian generation. The Parliament becomes more friendly,” the MP posted.
As a reminder, in September, MP of Ukraine Viktoria Voitsytska started to collect signatures under the petition to the head of the parliament’s staff over the possibility to come to work with children, organize the room for feeding and construct the ramps for baby carriages.
Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman noted that one nursery would be equipped first, while more could be open if the necessity arose.
