Crimean activist Vasylchenko reports on pressure put by security forces
Crimean activist Serhiy Vasylchenko is in despair because of pressure put on him by Russian security forces and needs a lawyer.
Another Crimean activist Oleksiy Shestakovych said this in a commentary to Crimea.Realities news portal.
“Serhiy is in despair and needs a lawyer. Security officers took away his documents, and Serhiy cannot now leave Crimea. He is in dire need of a lawyer,” Shestakovych said.
The other day, activist Serhiy Vasylchenko from Yevpatoria said the Russian security forces exerted pressure on him. The open appeal of Vasylchenko and other Crimean activist Oleksiy Shestakovych was posted on Facebook. In the appeal Vasylchenko tells how Russian police came to his house in the morning of September 16, said they were officers of the criminal investigation department, and asked to go with them to the local department of the Interior Ministry.
According to the activist Vasylchenko, now he “fled the place of his residence,” fearing for his life, and will not return home without giving him guarantees of personal safety.
The Kremlin-controlled Interior Ministry department in Crimea refused to comment on pressure on activist Serhiy Vasylchenko put by security forces to journalist of Crimea.Realities news portal.
