Security forces raiding houses of Crimean residents
The security officials are raiding the houses of the Crimean Tatars in Crimea.
Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ilmi Umerov posted this on his Facebook page on November 17.
“I have received information that the security officers are raiding the house of Sheryf Hanyyev in Bakhchisaray district. Sheryf is a welder, he is about 40-45 years old. We do not know the cause of the raid. I cannot come to the scene,” Umerov wrote.
At the same time, first Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Nariman Dzelial announced that “another raid is conducted in the house of local businessman Yusuf ah’a in the village of Sofiyivka in Simferopol district.”
“The search was short. After that, the security forces took his son Fevzi with them. According to relatives, the reason for the search was the business of Fevzi, carried out by them back in 2013,” Dzhelial wrote in Facebook.
