Two Ukrainians died in the Crimean prisoners, after being denied medical treatment

Two Ukrainians have already died in the prisons of occupied Crimea and Russia because they did not have medical treatment in time, informs Crimean human rights group in its October report.

According to the report, the inhabitant of Henichesk Valery Kerimov was taken from a correctional facility in Crimea to a prison №1 Adygea Republic, where he died on September 8.

“Kerimov was sick on hepatitis and tuberculosis. He did not receive the medical cure in time,” it is said in the report.

“Another Ukrainian citizen Serhiy Hlyniak from Sevastopol died on August 30 in a detention facility №1 of Simferopol from the same reason,” Crimean human rights group informed.

It is also concerned about the life of two other Ukrainians, detained in Crimea and Russia. Yuri Saenko is detained in correctional facility №2 in Rostov-on-Don and Leyla Huseinova is in detention facility №1 of Simferopol. Both of them have HIV and hepatitis and need immediate medical assistance.

Crimean human rights group informed that during occupation at least 2,200 Ukrainian citizens were transported from Crimean to Russian prisons, 240 of them are women.
