Electricity supply resumed in Avdiivka. 290 people evacuated

As of 8 am of February 6, 80% of Avdiivka is connected to the centralized power supply.

Employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine together with representatives of the fuel and energy companies plan to continue the work of reconnecting the 20% of city and plan reconnect objects of social sphere from electric generators to centralized power supply.

One emergency station is functioning (7 tents of the SESU, 1 tent from the charity organization), 3 stationary warming centres, about 11789 people (1661 people per day) came to the centres. 3 field kitchens provide food.

As of 8 am on Monday, 290 people were evacuated from Avdiivka, of whom 42 are elder people and 135 children. During the day 24 people were evacuated, of whom 11 are children.

As a reminder, from January 29 the situation near Avdiivka worsened, militants are using “Grads” and tanks.

On Wednesday, February 1, the parties agreed to a temporary ceasefire until 5 pm. Repair crews tried to repair the damaged infrastructure of the city. However, militants have broken the state of ceasefire and fired at the repair crew in Avdiivka.

On February 2, militants opened fire on humanitarian aid center in Avdiivka and intensified shelling of Marinka and Krasnohorivka.

As of February 4, more than 150 houses and buildings were damaged or destroyed.
