Man wounded in shelling of Marinka entry-exit checkpoint
At about 13:00 on Friday, the militants fired at “Marinka” entry-exit checkpoint in Donetsk region, wounding a man, who was waiting for a permit to cross the contact line.
As the press service of the State Border Guard Service reports, the militants fired from small arms in the direction of Oleksandrivka village on the territory not controlled by the Ukrainian government.
“The bullet hit one of the cars with a man inside. As a result, our compatriot got a gutter wound in the back. The border guards immediately called the ambulance and gave him first aid,” the statement reads.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reminded that on Thursday the “Marinka” entry-exit checkpoint was shelled by mortars. More than ten shells slammed a few dozen meters from the service premises. The Ukrainian border guards were forced to suspend passage of persons and vehicles and evacuated citizens.
