The military medical commissions at the military enlistment offices are unprofessional.

This was stated by Chairperson of the Ukraine’s Parliament Committee on Healthcare Olha Bohomolets, the Human Rights Information Center correspondent reports.

According to her, 10,000 mobilized were tested for viral hepatitis at the military medical commission with the help of the charitable organizations. The doctors discovered infection in 5% of people.

Olha Bohomolets said that 30% -101% Ukrainians came to the military medical commissions.

The figure of 101% is not just people who are mobilized but the volunteers as well. Only 30% -80% out of 100% were classified as fit for military service. It does not depend on the incidence of a disease in the regions. It depends on morality, corruption, and professionalism in these regions,” Olha Bohomolets said and added that this problem had not been solved in 2015.

As reported, the Defense Ministry opposed the bill, which provided for a legal opportunity to pay off the recruitment and mobilization.
